Wonderful food. The Dim Sum was excellent, I had Pad Thai with prawns for the main as my daughter-in-law had recommended it. I shouldn't have had rice with it as it made the meal too big. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff are great. We will definitely be going back there.
Fantastic, Fabulous, Fragrant, Fresh and Full of Flavour
Without doubt the best Thai food we have ever had. The restaurant is tastefully furnished and we were immediately made to feel welcome by the staff. We had a few nibbles to start, excellent prawn crackers and some free cashew nuts for my wife who is vegetarian. We ordered a Thai vegetable yellow curry, chicken pad prik, stir fried noodles with vegetables, thai jasmine rice cooked in coconut milk and deep fried tempura vegetables. When it all came out we thought we had ordered way too much but managed to eat our way through pretty much all of it. The reason for this is because it was the most perfect food you could wish for. There really was nothing we could fault and almost every dish was the best we had ever tasted, so fresh and fragrant that it was on a completely different level to anything we had tasted before. We both said after leaving that it was without doubt in the top ten meals we had ever had, not just Thai but any meal, any time. If you are in the area this is a must, you will be in Thai heaven.

Came based on other reviews I had seen and wanted something different to pub food. We were not disappointed. The food and service here is excellent. We were staying overnight in Lanford and it was roughly a 12 min drive to this restaurant. The car park is right next to restaurant and is free after 4pm. Details of how to get to this car park are on their website. This restaurant was great with our toddler, I'd come back here for a date night or a group of friends.

Great first visit, will definitely be back
We went on a Monday evening, it was busier than expected they had a large party in. Tahir managed excellently with the amount of people in and being the only front of house there. There were no issues with the time to be served, food wait, etc.
The food was delicious, everything we loved - food portions are large and very reasonable prices.
We will definitely be going back.

Just to confirm the restaurant has changed hands (Nov ‘19). We haven’t eaten here for about 18-24 months as we thought the quality had dropped off under the previous owners. Very glad to say the food tonight was very enjoyable. The new owners are producing food at the standard that made Suan such a popular local Thai restaurant. If you haven’t eaten here recently I’d recommend trying it again. Back to its best! We had Pad Thai and the Red and Green Curries.

Cannot fault, beautiful, freshly cooked food. Gluten free catered for (no separate menu, you have to ask but nothing too much trouble....had gluten free Pad Thai and stir fried chicken in special Thai sauce).

We ordered a takeaway from here last night after numerous family members recommended it. I am a big fan of Thai food but wasn’t sure what to expect - I had to come on here though as I’m a big fan of praising where it is due, and the food was exceptional. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and dim sum, and my partner ordered the yellow chicken curry, pork ribs and golden parcels. The pad Thai was just divine, it was full of flavor without being greasy, the chicken was tender and bursting with umami and the dim sum was melt in the mouth. My partner absolutely loved his yellow curry, and was a huge fan of the golden parcels too. We were so full we couldn’t finish and the leftovers tasted just as good this evening, which really says something as a lot of leftover takeaways tend to congeal and become indelible.
For anyone debating trying Suan, please take the bad reviews with a pinch of salt, we found the staff to be a delight when we went to pick up our takeaway and as I’m sure you’ve ascertained by now, we’re huge fans of the food.
We have found our favorite takeaway for sure and will be eating in the moment we are able to. Thanks Suan!!
